Overview

The Sales Analyst is responsible for the collection, analysis, insights, and reporting of sales related data in an on-going effort to efficiently increase overall productivity and effectiveness. The Sales Analyst collects sales, and customer specific records and evaluates trends and insights while taking into consideration current economic conditions. The development and on-going tracking and updating of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), CRM, and Team tools will be critical to enhance the understanding of the business and to improve decision making and results. The Sales Analyst will create both standardized & custom reports and analysis, conduct quantitative analysis, provide overall support and assess future needs. The Sales Analyst will conduct tasks and duties to support the team to support growth, enhance productivity and efficiencies, while supporting the development of the team and data integrity. The Sales Analyst must develop standardized tools, methodologies and business processes aimed at improving operational efficiency.  The Sales Analyst also provides administrative support to the team (approximately 20% of time)

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordinating/gathering/compiling corporate requests: customer details, information and insights, forecasts, food safety, safety training, and various channel sales/corporate compliance issue.
  • Develop, compile, and provide industry and customer specific insights in a user-friendly digital output.
  • Collect, analyze, evaluate and report data to impact growth, productivity, and people. 
  • Compile customer, sales records & trends and evaluate performance measured against goals and objectives.
  • Analyze sales and performance records, interpret results of overall sales.
  • Recommend promotion items to be sold per channel base on analysis of channel data and R&D strategies.  May also recommend the movement of personnel in under-performing channels to other channels based on analysis of channel profitability and growth strategies.
  • Assist management in developing and reviewing the sales budget and rolling sales forecast including sales to budget variance analysis.
  • Analyze line of business operations (product lines, channels, etc.) to determine profitability and to establish a baseline for action and operational change.
  • Develop models and reporting structure that identify costs (by channel, product mix, process, fixed, variable) per (channel, product mix, product lines, etc.) and identify a baseline for action.
  • Guide, assist, and support sales forecasting in CRM application/tool, generate reports for forecast, and collaborate forecasts into our AOP Planning.
  • Exceptional Microsoft Office Suites skills, excellent interpersonal skills, business writing skills and verbal communication, deadline driven and organizational savvy and agility.
  • 20% of time - provide general administration support to the assigned group.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, while handling frequent interruptions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent work exp
  • Plus 3-5 years related experience
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a Sales environment.
  • Achievement oriented and professional output with attention to detail.
  • Performs a variety of tasks with excellent time management skills.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate team, organizational, and customer functions and event.
  • Works under general supervision and enjoys supporting and contributing to the team.
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
  • Exceptional Microsoft Office Suites skills and competencies (Outlook, Power-point, Excel, MS-Word, Access, etc.).
