Farmer Brothers has an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Manager. The ideal candidate will contribute by leading a team of baristas and store partners to create a 3rd wave coffee shop experience with exceptional customer service. This opportunity will assist in managing store operations, assisting with staffing hours and shift coverage, ensuring customer satisfaction and product quality, training, banking deposits and change, ordering and inventory. This position allows for the exercise of independent judgment, leading a team, and product training.



  • Following goals set for the café by the Manager
  • Demonstrates a calm demeanor to keep store operations running smoothly and setting a positive example for the store team
  • Displays a customer comes first attitude and able to demonstrate this to all team members
  • Leads with integrity and honesty and promotes Farmer Brothers visions and values
  • Support our efforts and goals on being a sustainable company
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications,establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies, and hands on learning’s inside of and outside of Cafes.



                      Able to make daily deposits and get change for register Merchandising:
                      Ensures merchandise is stocked and appealing
                      Proposes marketing strategy ideas with manager and assists in implementation 


  • Rotates stock and assists with orders and inventory
  • Identifies areas of training with staff and keeps manager informed of staffing strength and weaknesses
  • Follows café operations directed by manager
  • Protects employees and customers by ensuring a safe and clean café environment
  • Able to assist with social media advertising
  • Is flexible toward schedule, occasionally working nights and weekends as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent 
  • 2+ years recent exposure to the Specialty Coffee Industry,
  • 2+ years of direct customer interaction
  • Barista experience is a must 
  • Up‐to‐date with the national specialty café scene
