    Farmer Brothers has an excellent opportunity for a National Account Manager. This position is responsible for managing, developing and maintain business relationship with existing and potential national/regional clients to meet sales objectives. Responsible for developing and assisting in the implementation of strategies to grow the business, collaborating with other members of the National Accounts Team in the execution of customer specific initiatives, RFP processes and presentation development.  Additional responsibilities include customer and company communication and general customer management. This person can work remotely.

    Responsibilities

    • To assist independent retailers, succeed against the competition by providing marketing support, sales presentations and product (specifically coffee and espresso) training.
    • Build quality relationships with customer base.
    • Develop and implement national/regional sales strategies for increasing sales and profits through national/regional customers.
    • Identify and recommend tools for the sales organization that will drive substantial growth.
    • Work in collaboration with the National Account Sales Team to ensure that customer initiatives are being executed in the field.
    • Represent the company to customers, vendors, suppliers and other business entities.
    • Develop and present sales presentation tools to support and grow sales.
    • Participate in sales initiatives where applicable by gathering and communicating pertinent information for assigned accounts to the sales organization.
    • Provide analysis and trend information to support National Accounts Sales Team and customers.
    • Provide support and guidance for field sales inquiries.
    • Compile and coordinate customer specific sales materials.
    • Maintain and update customer contract database (pricing, terms, rebates, start and end times).
    • Work directly with the National Account Sales Team to compile reports as needed.
    • Ability to create and analyze reporting as needed for sales initiatives.
    • Provide analysis and summary to sales leadership.
    • Participate in sales planning projects as requested.
    • Responsible for troubleshooting related concerns.
    • Maintain and update information regarding customers.
    • May perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
    • 5+ years’ experience in coffee industry.
    • 5+ years’ in customer service/sales.
    • High level of communication both written and verbal.
    • Able to work independently with little supervision.
    • Team player.
    • Able to make decisions with high level of confidence.
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with multi-functional groups/personnel.
    • Leadership skills.
    • Displays positive attitude toward new thinking and new ideas.
    • Monitors costs.
    • Manages problems effectively.
    • Translates strategies for change into specific goals, objectives and responsibilities.
    • Excellent organization and time-management skills.
    • Proficiency in computer skills including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office and JDE.
