    Farmer Brothers has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer who will manage all aspects of the networks and communications. Provide technical experience for the operation and maintenance of infrastructure and/or network components to drive network efficiency and availability.

    Responsibilities

    • Architect network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency.

    • Plan and execute the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls.

    • Maintain network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning.

    • Troubleshoot and resolve network problems such as availability, redundancy, link saturation, remote site connectivity, mobile device connections to LAN and WAN; escalating problems to vendor.

    • Manage all connectivity and uptime for LAN and WAN.

    • Secure network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation.

    • Upgrade network by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.

    • Develop all network usage estimates as needed for SaaS, IaaS and PaaS.

    • Meet financial requirements by submitting information for budgets; monitoring expenses.

    • Display a service oriented approach to IT internal and external support.
    • Able to consider entire enterprise when approaching IT environment.
    • Analysis, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
    • Readily and frequently collaborates with others in IT and the rest of the company.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • May perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
    • 7+ years’ experience in a Network Administrator or Engineer role.

    • Required CCNA certification - CCNP preferred.
    • Experience with networking architecture in pure Cloud and Hybrid Cloud environments.
    • Strong knowledge of VMWare VSphere.
    • Solid knowledge of networking technologies: Switching, Routing, Cabling, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP / IP, DNS, UDP, Latency, VoIP, PRI Telephony, QoS, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, Spanning-Tree, VPN, IPsec, DNS, DHCP, NetFlow, iSCSI, Fiber optics, MPLS, VRF's etc...
    • Experience configuring and supporting Cisco and Meraki network equipment to include routers, switches and wireless access points.
    • Experience configuring load-balancers.
    • Cisco ASA firewall experience is a plus.
    • Experience managing data centers across a WAN.

    • Able to work varying hours and travel when required up to 10%.

    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems.
    • Ability to translate and communicate technical terms into business language.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks at a time.
    • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
    • Ability to conduct briefings, participate in cross-function meetings, and team meetings.
