    Farmer Brothers has an exciting opportunity for a Route Sales Associate. The Route Sales Associate provides route relief as required and is responsible for providing great service to our customers. When on route, the RSA ensures customers are in-stock, serviced as scheduled, and that the beverage station is set to standard. This role sells and delivers coffee, tea, and related products to our customers as assigned. When on route, the RSA consistently executes the Farmer Brothers customer call process (The Farmer Brothers Way to Sell) to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty. The RSA may perform other duties as assigned including assisting in warehouse operations, accounts receivable collections, and customer service activities.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Runs relief routes as needed.  Assists inventory cycle counts, warehouse duties and customer related matters as assigned.
    • When assigned to a route, the RSA will deliver, replenish, and rotate beverage station products for customers.
    • Responsible for escalating customer issues quickly to leadership and ensuring customer satisfaction.
    • Ensures all customers on a daily set schedule receive product delivery and service as required.
    • When on route, this role manages invoices, inventory, and collections daily.
    • When on route, strives to increase Revenue per Stop through identifying and closing distribution voids on core products, promoting seasonal and LTO products, executing pricing actions.
    • Becomes familiar with our brewing equipment and learns to make basic repairs or adjustments.
    • Generates leads for new sales calls when time and opportunity allows.

     

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
    • Route delivery experience a plus
    • Must be comfortable driving 16 & 20 foot box trucks in urban and rural areas
    • Able to perfrom occasional overnight travel
    • Proficient in assessing customer needs
    • Customer service background preferred
    • Mechanical aptitude with company hardware and software products
    • Ability to lift and carry products weighing up to 50 lbs.
    • Knowledge of foodservice industry
    • A clean and good driving record
    • Proficient in assessing customer needs

    The successful candidate will be required to complete a background check (including, but not limited to, employment verification, criminal history check and education verification), a pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
