    Farmer Brothers has an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Financial Analyst for a rapidly-growing business which is entering into new markets, adding large new customers and expanding product offerings requires strong financial analytics, modeling and reporting to ensure good decision making. This senior financial analyst will work across all functional areas of the organization requiring excellent communication and interpersonal skills.   This position will analyze and model all aspects of the business including volume growth, profitability, return on investments, efficiency by location, by category, by sales person, and by supplier to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. The position will create, maintain and distribute operating reports and key business metrics. This position will also measure returns on invested capital and make recommendations to optimize operating costs. This position will be instrumental in designing and improving our data warehouse and executive dashboards. This role will be involved with annual planning, forecasting and M&A activity. Timely delivery of reports, identifying trends and making recommendations, and creation of accurate forecasts and budgets. Ad-hoc financial modeling, reporting and analysis as necessary.

    Responsibilities

    • Critical thinking, excellent problem solving skills and advanced financial modeling abilities.
    • Ability to manipulate and combine large amounts of data across disparate systems and draw meaningful and revealing conclusions in an efficient manner.
    • Ability to spot trends, identify opportunities, and effectively communicate recommendations to decision makers with credibility
    • Ability to a bring projects from inception to conclusion.
    • Comfortable working with complex systems and technology to capture the necessary data to deliver useful reports and analysis in a timely manner.
    • Can work well in teams ass well as independently, depending on the project.

    Qualifications

    • Undergraduate bachelor’s degree required with strong emphasis in mathematics or economics and an MBA required.
    • Strongly prefer candidates from top 25 Business Colleges.
    • Big 4 experience preferred.
    • Experience working with large data sets and can manipulate and cleanse data to create meaningful output.
    • SQL programming experience a plus.
    • 2-4+ years work experience in related function or industry.
