  • Overview

    The Manager, Fixed Assets is responsible for developing and maintaining accounting for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.  Focus is on fixed asset accounting including ad hoc reporting and analysis, management reporting, liaison with audit firms and management of accounting staff.


    • Manage day-to-day accounting operations with a focus on Fixed Assets and Coffee Brewing Equipment ("CBE").
    • Ensure company financial reports are prepared in compliance with policies and directives, US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements. 
    • Manage SOX compliance activities and internal controls to ensure reporting is performed timely and accurately. 
    • Assist in the preparation and review of fixed asset reconciliations, depreciation calculations and analysis. 
    • Oversee the recording of new assets in the fixed asset sub-ledger. 
    • Review, research and provide variance explanations related to capital expenditures and depreciation expense variances such as actual vs. budget, current month vs. prior month, etc. 
    • Report capital expenditures and other various key performance metrics to management. 
    • Work closely with operations management to monitor progress and spend on capital projects. 
    • Perform quarterly fixed asset impairment analysis. 
    • Assist with process improvement and project development oversight. 
    • Contribute in the independent accountant's annual audit. 
    • Work closely with all areas of the company to enhance reporting as needed. 
    • Perform other duties as assigned. 


    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. 
    • CPA preferred.
    • 7+ years of experience in Accounting and managing Fixed Assets. 
    • Public Accounting or accounting experience with a publicly traded company required. 
    • Excellent problem solving abilities and the ability to work with other departments within the organization to implement business solutions. 
    • Highly organized and willing to engage with internal department and external auditors to comply with filing and reporting requirements. 
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office. 
    • Ability to read and understand technical forms and financial reports. 
    • Able to meet deadlines, follow through on commitments and deliver on promises. 
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
