  • Overview

    The Business Analyst is responsible for preparing and reviewing a variety of financial data, as well as identifying opportunities for sales growth, customer retention and increased profitability.

    Responsibilities

    • Create and maintain weekly/monthly reporting on revenue and volume data to evaluate performance and sales strategies within the Direct Store Delivery (DSD) channel.
    • Conduct trend, gap and variance analysis at the region, branch, segment, customer and product category levels.
    • Identify key business drivers and opportunities for increased sales and profitability.
    • Provide meaningful insight and recommendations to Regional Directors and Sales Managers.
    • Prepare, analyze and interpret reports on New Business, Growth Initiatives, and Customer Retention.
    • Provide ongoing analytical support to business areas of the DSD channel, aligned with strategic goals.
    • Track performance of quarterly sales promotions and determine incentive payouts.
    • Identify and resolve data integrity issues to ensure accurate reporting. 
    • Support the FP&A team and Finance Director with ad hoc reporting and special projects.
    • Provide general operational support to the Sr. Director of DSD Sales.
    • May perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
    • 3+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting.
    • 3+ years’ experience operating Windows and associated Microsoft Office applications, including: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc..
    • Abilty to analyze, interpret and present financial and non-financial data in meaning ful management reports including recommendations.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
    • Able to take broad thinking around business issues and apply to company strategies.
